Hi, I have a Nikon D200. I have been looking for a Prime Macro lens and was reading reviews for the Tamrom 60mm f/2 Macro 1:1. Also read your reviews.
Considering that price is an important factor for me, how much overall quality would I sacrifice if I select the Tamron instead of Nikon 60mm 2.8G or 2.8D for my D200 body. I have a Nikon 19-200 VR and a Sigma 70-300 but have never used a Tamron lens.
Appreciate your advice.
Thanks.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that Jack Neubart just published a review of this lens over at Photocrati. He's a macro kind of guy, and he loved the lens, although he had some serious reservations about the manual focusing capability. Link below if interested. Best, Erick
